ME and SOUND

 I need say this. I love sounds. I am not that good with it but i do love it. I love music. It is a kind of escapism for me, for me to escape from the hard truth that keep on knocking me. If that happens, I will absolutely look for sounds. I know they will make me calm. I just know.

 I play guitar, but not that good. My fingers are numb at some points. i don't really care. I pluck the strings of my own guitar, not others. I sing, but sometimes off-key. I don't bother, I don't ask the people to listen. I sing for me. I play bass. I like how it works in giving the beats for the other instruments to follow. I like the humbleness of it, it does not mind not getting the spotlight from the people because the sound is bold and most of them might not notice, but, the presence is so important.

Music, sound give me the reason to live. I know, as far as i need the sound, the sound might also need me. This is how I take a little escape and cherish the moments not being realistic before getting back to the real world. You should find yours.

INSTEP, PETRONAS

This is just a random post for me to share he experience doing my internship in INSTEP, PETRONAS.

Being part of a giant company in Malaysia is one of things jotted down in my bucket list. Praise to god for His blessings, i made it into a giant company for my internship.

Even though it was only three months being in INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI PETROLEUM PETRONAS (INSTEP), I have learned a lot from the seniors. Oh yes, internship is actually a mandatory assessment assigned by the university in order for the students to complete their studies. The students will nee to foind a place for them to do the internship according to the duration designed by the institution. This is to expose to the students the real working environment for them to apply the theories they have learned in class practically. 

I was place under BRIDGING PROGRAM DEPARTMENT for the 12 weeks of internship. This department is actually dealing with the trainees. In other institutions, we might call this department as Students Affair (HEPA).Trainees will undergo training for 1 year or 2 semesters in this institution. This shows that the most senior trainee in this institution is semester 2 trainees.

Other than that, this department also design or organise events for the trainees. For example, we have conducted a smart camp for the semester one student and it is compulsory for them to attend to the camp. We did inside INSTEP as it will be easier for us to handle the trainees.

 I got the chance to apply my communication skills that leaned by theory back in UniSZA in INSTEP as I need to deal with the trainees, entertain them by answering to all their inquiries and explain to them on the right things that they need to know.

Other than smart camp, I also got the chance to organize a musical event that is only base in ENGLISH LANGUAGE and called it "INSTEP got talent". I'm so grateful that I am equipped with the knowledge of organizing an event as i have pursued the EVENT MANAGEMENT course in UniSZA and it is an advantage for an English language student like me to organize an event that is based in English language.

THE ANIMATION

UPIN, IPIN and FRIED CHICKEN

Most of the kids especially those who are born in the era where television has already existed will love to watch cartoon. So do I. It is fun to watch the animations moving like a real people. Moreover, the simple idea and sense of humor injected in most cartons are also the reason why most of us love to watch cartoon.

Upin Ipin is one of my favourite animation. The characters and the animations are 100% made by Malaysian. I'm so proud of the achievement, but that is not the main reason why I like this animation or cartoon. I like it because it contains a lot of good moral values that are good for kids in each episodes. Furthermore, the humour that is used in this animation is also funny and suitable for all ages. 

I would recommend this animation to parents if they plan to let their kids to watch cartoon. This is because at least their kids will get something at the end of the show.

UPIN, IPIN and FRIENDS

Other than Upin & Ipin I also love to watch Boboi Boy which also 100% made by Malaysian. I like to watch it because of the technoilogy use in the animation. The graphic used is high that makes the animation looks flawless. It uses a lot movements such as flying and jumping which and also super powers that owned by each of the characters. 

I also love to watch this animation because of the character and the equipment used in it such as the alien and the U.F.O. which for it is quite futuristic.

For learning purposes especially for those who have deep passion in graphic and and animation, I would recommend Boboi Boy as the reference for them to do their research.

BEAT OF FATE AND LOVE

 In the previous semester, we were assigned to shoot a short video for BES3045, Multimedia English. Our lecturer for this subject was Madam Mahani. Our group consists of 6 students and we called ourselves the SEVENTH PRODUCTION as we were the seventh group that will present on this short video.

We chose to shoot a romantic comedy video because we find it hard for us to be serious standing in front of the camera.

I played as a Sultan's chief and was named with Mahmud Safwat. It was one the main character in the video or other people might call it a HERO. Yes, I was the hero.

Making a video is not an easy task. we have gone through a lot of hardships in order to get this assignment done. Asilah Sarakim was the director as well as the script writer of the short video. We had chosen a few places for us to do the shooting based as we need different layouts for different scenes such as the beach and the jungle. Cameraman must consider the right angle, lighting, location etc. to produce a good film. Furthermore, to have the basic knowledge in video editing software is a need in becoming video editor. I found that inserting music is part of strong element to convey feelings and to make the acting alive. 

We collected money among the the group members in order for us to shoot this video. We used the money to rent a car for us to do the shooting outside the campus, the car's fuel, our drinks as well as the printing of the poster. 

Even though it is quite tough for us to get this task done, but we must admit that we really enjoyed ourselves along the working period. We learned a lot from it not just on the usage of media part but also teamwork and friendship. Yes, we learned a lot.

There's no specific word to describe the owner. This blog is actually part of my assessments for BKE4083 Media Integrative.

The purpose of the picture above is to show my handsome side profile. My name is MOHAMAD SAFWAT ASHAHRI B MOHD SALIM, BBA12032718. Ouh the matric number is so necessary and do not ask me why. I am now dying to get a Bachelor in English with Communication from Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA).

Usually people call me FUAD for short and I am quite famous in UniSZA. You can ask the students there for verification. I am a Perakian and the youngest hero in the family of six siblings.
